Dr Sin McGuane BVSc BVMS

Director/Veterinarian

Sin graduated from Murdoch University, Perth in 2018. As well as her veterinary degree she also has a degree in animal & veterinary bioscience and a post grad certificate in business administration. Sin’s main interests are surgery, and in production animal work. Sin purchased Snowy River Vet Clinic in 2023 and re-branded, bringing to life The Vet & Co. Orbost. Sin’s fur family currently consists of two energetic border collies, five indoor cats, an Eclectus parrot, three sheep and a couple of cows! During her downtime, Sin enjoys getting out in the bush for a hike, exploring the gorgeous coastline with her dogs, diving and fishing.

Dr David Mitchell BVSc

Veterinarian

Dave has been working in veterinary practice since 1987 across a variety of locations: from the UK to the NSW South Coast, he has also done locums throughout Australia as part of an 18 month trip with his young family. A true general practitioner, he has undertaken extra study in diverse areas including ruminant nutrition, small animal ultrasound, gross pathology and avian medicine! At the start of this century Dave became a partner in the Orbost Vet Practice which he subsequently owned and managed until 2023. He is now enjoying being an employed vet, and doing as he's told!
Outside work he enjoys managing a small beef cattle farm, his garden, cycling, and keeping in touch with the rest of his family.

Dr Hannah Kress BVSc DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Hannah Graduated from Adelaide uni in 2023. She moved to Marlo shortly after and has been working with the team at The Vet and Co. Orbost. Dr Hannah was vet nurse while studying.
She has a real knack for medicine and is a huge asset. Hannah and her partner share their home with Harvey (dog) & Moira (cat).

Cam

Practice Manager

Cam started working with the team in May 2025, although he is new to the Veterinary Industry, his previous experience comes from Dairy and Beef farms. With a passion for large animal Breeding and performance. Since leaving his position in Western Australia, he travelled around Australia with his trusty kelpie ‘Flip’ by his side in his van and then Sailboat working at Dairy farms along the way Settling in Marlo in 2022.

Nickie

Receptionist

Nickie made the big move to Orbost after living in Brisbane and raising her two beautiful boys for the past 30 years. She has a background in animal retail and she has been a fantastic asset to The Vet & Co. team. Nickie is always happy to see clients and their beautiful fur kids and she always has a sneaky treat on hand.

Sophie Farley

Nurse

Sophie has big aspirations to become a veterinarian. She is currently balancing study and working at The Vet & Co. to get some awesome experience in the industry. Sophie is a fantastic all-rounder and is certainly not lacking motivation! She is currently studying her certificate IV in vet nursing. Sophie has been with the team since 2023. Sophie’s newest addition is Winston, a gorgeous GSP pup.

Adele

Bookkeeper

Adele is the bookkeeper for The Vet & Co. She has been providing bookkeeping services since 2019, with prior experience in property valuing and financial planning. Adele specialises in providing accounting services to farming and agricultural businesses.

Adele grew up in Gippsland and currently lives in Lakes Entrance with her two dogs, three rabbits and five guinea pigs.
